We decided to take some time off of work and go to our beach house on Tikki Island. Both Simon and I had planned to finish the renovations on the house. It had been a while since we came by ourselves. Usually we had Joshua our son with us but now that he is in college we come alone.

Simon had asked if it was OK for my sister-in-law Brianna to come over and visit us. I thought it was a great Idea for Brianna to get away for a while. After Neil's death she needs to get away and relax with the kids.

Brianna loved the new guest bedroom. Taylor fell in love with it as well.

Isaiah slept in Joshua's old room. It seemed that Simon was in there all the time trying to complete a last minute writing assignment from work. Here we are trying to get away and yet Simon was more on the pc than with us.

While Simon worked, I managed to get some long overdue reading in. It had been a while since I got the opportunity to sit back and just read.

Everyone was having fun at our house. Taylor and Isaiah usually skipped breakfast and headed straight for the pool. Lunch time was a time for all of us to get together and talk about our day. While they ate I played peek a boo with Samira.

Samira was put down for her afternoon nap and Brianna caught me checking in on her. She told me that she wanted to take the opportunity to thank me for inviting her and the kids over. I told her that it was no problem. I hope that Brianna will get better in the near future. I can tell that she misses Neal a lot.

On our last night we all did some shopping and I decided to finally cut my hair. Brianna thought it was a nice and bold haircut. My niece and nephew thought it was fun and hip. I just hope Simon likes it too.

Turns out that Simon loved it. Its our last night and Simon did finish his work on time. This last week he has been laying by the pool and relaxing. I dread going back home but soon we shall be able to retire here.

Aaron Barillas --Chapter 5

To say that our house is less than a circus would be ridiculous. As much as I am organized I realized that another set of Quads are going to kill me. I am contemplating quiting my job and just being a stay at home mom for now. I do not think any nanny in their right mind would take this job, even if we could afford to hire one. Aaron thinks that we can manage but my maternity leave is running out.

Aaron's planting has been going great this year. I just hope that it will be enough to cover our mortgage and school fees. The school fees for the kids are starting to kill us. I think we both have decided without actually saying it that we are having no more kids.

With the farm producing more than ever, Aaron has hired two more employees. I think Aaron works hard and sometimes the employees do not like that type of work pace. For now I just hope that Aaron does not get the dreaded plantisim disease. Some people choose to live with it while Aaron has been treated twice for it.

My mother-in-law Amarilis came over for a quick visit. She is always amazed at me being able to maintain some sort of normalcy in the house. She too had triplets and she says its way too much work. I am just grateful that my older kids are willing to help.

Once the day is said and done Aaron helps me complete the massive bath time.

We are finally alone but so tired. We barely muster enough strength for a good night kiss. I guess we wont be worrying about pregnancy any time soon.

Isabel Barillas Chapter 5- Its not like it used to be.

My parents came over and it was hard to tell them why Candice was not there. Things have not been that well between us lately. It seems that Candice is more and more out of the house than here.

I occupy my time working out and trying to improve myself more every day.

I finally caught up to Candice. It's strange on how she and I live together but lately have not seen each other.

I tried to get romantic with her and to my astonishment she pushed me away. She said she was not interested in having sex. She just wanted to talk to me.

She told me she needed space and that she was going to stay with a friend for a while. I could not believe my ears but I was so pissed so I decided to let her go. I think she wanted me to beg her but I was just ready to go ahead and move on.

Call it Karma or not but my ex- Veronica Wade was in town for a conference. She asked if I was free for lunch. I honestly was shocked when I saw her. Gone was the boyish frame and boy cut.

She hugged me so hard that I was surprised. I was glad to see her.

During lunch Veronica asked me what my dating situation was. I told her the truth about Candice and I taking a much needed break.

That seemed to satisfy Veronica. She asked me on a date post breakup. I do not know how to feel about that. I have lived with Candice for more than two years. I do not know how well our break up will be. Still it does not hurt to know that someone else out there is interested.

The relationship between my twin brother Aaron and I has been improving more and more. For now he comes to visit when he gets a spare chance. With so many kids I know that its rare.

We talk about old times but of course he always tends to ask if I ever want to get my college degree. For right now I first need to find out my financial situation. If Candice moves out then I have to pay a bigger portion of the rent. Aaron does not see why I just don't change the locks and call it quits with Candice. I just cant do that..its been more than 2 years together.

Candice finally returned my calls and came over to talk about our situation. I think in her mind she believes that I will always be waiting for her to decide about us.

She told me she needed more time to think about us. She was not sure about being gay and needed to really find out. In my mind that meant she was interested in someone else. I begged her to tell me if it was another man or woman. She denied it all.

It broke my heart but I told her, "Candice I can't do this anymore. I know you say you need time to figure yourself out but I dont have time to give. Either you love me or you don't and by your actions is don't. I want you to get your things out of here. Its done"
I got up to go to the kitchen. I was not going to give her the satisfaction of seeing me cry.

She followed me and for a minute it looked like she was going to ask me to try again. Instead she asked if I could give her a week to move her things out. Just like that we ended. I look back now and should have recognized the signs of the end of the looming end.

Candice file got corrupt because she kept jumping every time I asked her to do something. Also Isabel did not get any engagement or marriage wants for Candice at all. I thought their relationship needed time but the minute Isabel saw Veronica she rolled kissing wants. It surprised me how fast she rolled engagement want for Veronica. I guess Isabel has not forgotten her high school sweetheart.

Melody Sofia Barillas Ch 6- Where did the time go?

Things between Melody and I are going great. Just the other day we both realized that we are going to be celebrating our 8th wedding anniversary. How fast did eight years pass by?

I wanted to do something special to celebrate our anniversary. I told her that we were going to go to dinner and celebrate. She was so excited.

She loves her uncle Adam so I thought it would be nice that we had our dinner at Adam's restaurant. Melody loved the idea and her uncle was there to greet us and gave us five star treatment.

We had complimentary champagne given to us by Adam. We toasted to many more years of happiness. It was awesome to look at Melody and realize how much I still am in love with her.

I don't know where it came from but I told asked her when we would have children. She looked at me like I had burned her. Children has always been a sore subject with Melody. I am not sure why she does not want kids. She says she wants to keep working on her career but I want children.

She begged me not to ruin dinner with that. We both knew it was too late for that. We finished right away and paid the bill and went home.

When we got home I went to take a shower. Sitting there I thought to myself that I did not want to fight with my wife. I do however need to clarify things because we have not agreed on the child situation.

For now I guess I will have to content myself with our cockatoo. I just hope Melody will someday agree to have kids. If not then I do not know what will happen to us.

Shaila Barillas ch 5- Where theres a will.....

Weldon has been having problems at work lately. He was demoted and he really has tried to get promoted again. I worry that he is in a rut and does not know how to get out.

My moms and my sister Jacquelyn and her wife Opal came over for dinner. I had not had the chance to get to know my new sister-in-law. Over dinner I found her to be maturer than my own sister. I hope that their marriage lasts.

I decided to confront Weldon about his college degree and his job. Immediately he got defensive but he knew I was right. I did not want to argue but at the same time I wanted to motivate him to finish his degree.

I did not want to argue so I got up and decided to relieve my stress by painting.

Weldon got us a cat. At first I did not want to but in the end I allowed him to.

I came home and found Weldon playing cards with our landlord. I know that he wants to finish school but I dont think he will at this pace.

He has even been calling in sick from work! I could not believe my ears. I was going to strangle him when he told me that he had a surprise for me. Turns out that he took his last final and he is done with college! He passed and to celebrate he invited my whole family over. I cant believe he had me thinking he was being super lazy about school!

My brothers and sisters were having a blast celebrating Weldon's achievement.

Weldon gave a little speech at dinner. He was grateful to be done with school and now we were going to focus on getting married. I agreed with that plan. We have been engaged two years and we still have no wedding plans.

Lauren did manage to come over and she is due any day now. I did not know whether or not she was fine. She told me that her and Alon were managing living on their own. They both did not want to move in with my moms. I understood her position and I am happy to become an aunt once again.

People started to say goodbye. I managed to catch Carson before he left. I had not seen my brother since he became a full fledged doctor.

I thought people were leaving. Next thing I know Weldon managed to get a poker game going. I was tired and bid them all goodnight. He deserved to have fun now that he graduated!
