Dylan Barillas--Chapter 1 part II

Leo and I got married by the beach in a rather informal wedding ceremony. I know most people would like a luxurious wedding but not me nor my fiancee Leo. We wanted something small that would be meaningful for us. Yes we were selfish but to us that didn't matter.

we were finally married. I never thought that I would be a newlywed at the age of 20 but here I am. Now Leo picked this place in front of a house because for him it was meaningful. In my mind I just wanted to be married to the man that makes my heart skip a beat.
"OK so were married huh?"
"Yes we are Dylan."

"I wanted to bring you here because I have something to show you. I just hope that you wont be too mad or shocked at me. I am hoping that you dont see that anything has changed between us."
"What do you mean? Leo is there something that you are hiding? What does this place mean to you?"
"lets go inside and ill show you."
"your kidding right. Were actually going to go inside?"
"yes we are."

I looked around and I was shocked that Leo had the keys to this house. I was even more shocked when he told me that this was our new home.
"our new home? Wait. How can we afford this?"
"Easy. Dylan in my life its hard to meet someone that you truly are attracted to both inside and out. I lied to you. I told you that I was an intern when in fact I own my own surgical practice for the past 15 years. Dylan this is our home. I didnt want someone to love me for my money or my practice."
"but I have been at your apartment"
"Yes. but that is the one I was renting while this place was being built. This is my dream home. I have worked for this for years... and I know its my plan but now that were married... if your interested then I wouldnt mind you decorating it. I want you to feel like its your home as well."
"I dont know what to say... Leo. Leo you have me in utter shock. I imagined us living in your tiny aparment. Your apartment fits in your living room!"
"Are you too upset?"
"No. Im just in shock."
I was in shock and so surprised. Leo said that I didnt have to work unless I wanted to. He also offered to help me go to college if that interested me instead. I might take him up on that offer. Maybe.....

Time to move on out.....

Consuelo's oldest set of Quads decided that it was time to move out and face life on their own. the only one of them that decided to go to college was Carson. The other three decided to rent an apartment on their own. It was a hard choice but thanks to their Aunt Amarilis they managed to rent her old apartment that was luckily vacant.

We are finally in our own apartment and honestly we love our new apartment. My brothers are missing the our younger siblings meanwhile I am enjoying the freedom. My mother Consuelo has been around often trying to make sure that we are doing OK. I have to admit that I know my mom feels guilty about us not going to college but we made our choice. I managed to find a job in a food position, my brother Alfredo got a job in security and Dylan is still looking for a job.

Alfredo has always had weight issues. For some reason he always managed to lose weight and then would gain weight. Now that we were on our own he became a health nut. He was so happy that he lost weight that we decided to go out to the club to celebrate.

Some way some how Alfredo and I managed to get our brother Dylan to go out with us. With us being Quads, we are used to they shyness of Dylan. Dylan protested the whole way to the club but he finally managed to get in the cab and relax a bit. As we headed to the club Alfredo was hoping to meet someone that would help me enjoy his new physically fit body.

"Dylan, relax and enjoy yourself. Its our time to relax a bit."
"Shai, you know I don't like clubs. Why am I here?"
"Just enjoy it. Do it for Alfredo. Look at him all happy over there dancing. He's getting to know people and we should get to know some people too. Lets not let Alfredo have all the fun."

My brother Alfredo was having a blast. I on the other hand managed to meet a guy named Pong..but he was not that interesting. I was looking for my brother Dylan and he was no where to be found. Im sure that he did not leave but I was a little worried...

The next day, Alfredo had breakfast made for us. I sat down and Alfredo began to discuss how he met this hot guy at the club. I asked for Dylan since he left the club with out us the night before. I thought that he for sure Dylan was upset.
"You will never guess what our little brother did?"
"Is he upset at us Alfredo? We should have watched him more."
"I think not. He is outside saying goodbye to his ... well I dont know if 'one night stand' is the correct term."
I let out a gasp of surprise. Never in my wildest dreams did i think that Dylan would bring someone home. I guess I was wrong.

His name is Leo Wilkie and Dylan seemed to be taken with him from the start. My brother has always been Gay. This is no big deal to us since our moms are gay partners. I think the thing that shocked us all was that Leo was a little older than Dylan. Leo to be exact was 50 years old while Dylan was about to turn 20. Anyone looking at them would think Leo was too old for my brother but oddly enough it didnt seem strange to me. As I mentioned before, Dylan has always been quiet and seemed older than his phyisical age. The term that comes to mind is "old soul". Yes that is what Dylan was.

Dont worry Dylan was not the only one trying to meet someone. I saw one of our neighbors out front and he immediately caught my eye. I unfortunately didnt catch his. He was a little older... OK fine he was 34 but he did look good. I guess I am like my twin brother Dylan, I like the older type.

After being turned down by my neighbor, I decided to take up a co-worker on his date offer. He has been telling me that he wanted to go out with me since I met him at my job. I know him but dont know him well enough to see if the attraction is more than physical. Hes cute and funny but how is he outside of work? I would soon find out since I finally accepted his invitation for lunch.

His name is Weldon Fairchild. He works in the same fast food restaraunt as I do and he is 23 years old. Oh dont worry Weldon is only there while he finishes his law degree. It seems that I am attracted to Lawyers a lot. The neighbor that rejected me was also a lawyer. Imagine that. I am glad that I accepted the date with Weldon. Seeing him outside of our work enviornment was more that I ever expected.

Conversation was light while we were waiting for our food. I am glad that I wasnt bored. I was actually interested in his activities outside of work.
"Is this OK for you? I mean I am still in shock that you accepted my date offer". "Of course this is OK Weldon. So how long have you worked at our job?"
"I would say about 3 years. I am ready to leave and get started in a law firm. How about yourself? Are you going to college?"
"Sadly I couldnt afford it. I dont know if its in my future. I come from a big family and well money was a little tight growing up."
"You said you had a big family. Do you live with your parents still?" "No, I actually live with two of my brothers while my other brother is in college. I have four younger sibilings currently starting high school."
"Wow your mom must have been busy. How about your dad?"
"She was busy. My mom Maura had two sets of Quads. Im in the first set and my other mother Consuelo would work more to have my mom Maura stay home."
"Oh I didnt realize that you had two moms. Thats cool as long as there is love then its OK"
"Im glad you feel that way. Most people wouldnt but my family is open to everything. We dont judge people at all."
The food came and Weldon let a sigh out of relief. I could not tell if Weldon accepted my family as it was or if he just wanted to get out of there.

at the end of our date I was pretty tired and was ready to go home.
"Wait before you go. I have this for you. Its your birthday present. You can open it later."
"wow Weldon. I didnt expect this. Thank you so much. I really appreciate it."
"its OK. Well Ill see you out and see you at work tomorrow OK"
"Sure thanks."
I left that date and felt ecstatic about seeing Weldon the next day.

Mom came over to make sure that we were all still alive. She was amazed that I was the only one home. I wasnt. Ever since we are on our own Alfredo and Dylan are out and about while I work and come home to relax. Weldon and I have decided to go out again but now I have Pong that I met at the club calling me.
Mom was feeling a little lonely so she came to see us and catch up. I think my mom is thinking about beginning to date. Im not sure if she is or will but I think its time. I know my mom Maura has been dating but I dont tell my mom Consuelo about it.

Dylan and Leo are all over each other for the past several months. Who knew things between them would move so quickly. All Dylan ever talks about is being with Leo. I find it odd that Leo is barely and intern. You would think that at his age he would at least be a physician or something. I just hope that Dylan lives his life besides being held back by Leo.

I decided to intervene. I know that he is in love with Leo but he also needed to see the bigger picture.
"so your in love?"
"I am Shaila. I know everyone is freaked that he is older than I am but in reality age doesn't matter. I just want to be with him. I dont know.. I think he may be the one."
"The one? Wow. I just ... well can you guys make it with his salary and you being jobless?"
"I guess we can. Shai, I have been meaning to tell you but Leo asked me to move in with him and I accepted."
"dylan! your only 20. Can't it wait a little more?"
"No. I love him and were moving in together next month. I will tell our moms before I move"

Narrated by Dylan:

I was so happy to see him. No one really understands the love between Leo and myself. Its almost perfection. I dont have to pretend to be anything that I am not. he sees me for me. He supports me trying to one day go to college. I just hope that my family is as supportive of our love as my older sibilings are.
When Leo arrived to dinner that night my mom was about to have a heart attack. She didnt agree for me to move out with my boyfriend of over a year. True I was out on my own but still my mom Consuelo felt that she could still run my life.

After dinner was done the unexpected happened. Leo asked for everyone's attention and proposed to me. I didnt think that it would happen but it did. I didnt think of it twice and I said yes. I cant believe that im engaged to the man that I love so much.
A few weeks after I moved out with Leo and we decided that we will have a private wedding ceremony. I have never been more happier than today.

My boy toy... I laugh everytime he calls me that. I have been going out with him for over four months now. We saw each other at the club many moons ago. I really didnt think that we would click but we did. Sure we both decided to see other people but I dont know... maybe it was my brother announcing his engagement that made me seek him out. I called he answered and came over.

Right now its not a relationship but at least its something. We are so good sexually. I took advantage that I had the night off and that Shaila was not home yet.

Melody Sofia Barillas

Melody Sofia, age 19

Here is a picture of Melody when she entered college. She managed to get a makeover but she only wished that she could make over her shyness. At home she was used to being outspoken but here on a huge campus with other people? She didnt know how she was going to handle it. "Heres to new beginnings" she thought to herself.
Freshman year, 1st semester:

One good thing was that the cafeteria was easy to find. Sure there were not that many choices but food was food. She sat down next to some girls. One of them had spikey hair and who knows what she was thinking when she got dressed. Her name is Frances Charvat. Interesting enough she is an English major hoping to some day teach high school. Go figure. The girl next to her in brown, her name is Jill Walter. She like myself is an undeclared major. Its funny how everyone is undeclared. I mean coming from a place where we are told what to do to this? I guess this would naturally be the next step in the road to adulthood.

Alright the first class Melody attended will teach her how to draw from miniture to real scale plans for construction. Melody didnt want to take this class but eventually she decided to just go ahead and sign up for it. She was not expecting that her professor would be so hands on. So far she could tell that he was really dedicated in getting all his students in the profession of architecture.

Doing homework assignments were stressful. It seemed that everytime I managed to get settled and study there was something else on my mind. Melody needed to review since Finals were this week and she needed to get good grades.
Melody received A+ for her first semester. She found college was easier than she first expected.

Freshman Year, 2nd semester:

Yes finally she was able to get her hands on doing some robotics. While others were busy building robotic machines...she started making a baby robot for her baby brother. These were the times she missed her family the most. She could not wait until the break to leave for home a couple of days. She needed to be surrounded by her family. She was in deep thought when she noticed a guy next to the station next to her.
"Hello. Nice little robot. Im sure our professor would love to know your building little toys instead of our assignment."
"Well who is going to tell him?"said Melody.
"Relax im just joking. My name is Joshua Ruben and yours young lady?"
"My name is Melody Sofia..the little robot maker"
"Nice. Maybe Ill see you around."


Melody didnt let being caught dissuade her. She continued and was successful. Hopefully her little brother will like her present.

Soon everyone was studying for the end of the freshman year. She couldnt wait until this year was over. She had grown up a lot but still didnt work up the nerve to ask anyone out. Mostly everyone was in their own social circle. Melody Sofia didnt really fit in anywhere but she did managed to join a research group. It happened by accident but she needed this group to understand some of her classes.
They met often to discuss class topics. Melody didnt remember when or how but all of a sudden she developed a crush on Corey Barett. They had several classes together but they only seemed to talk to each other during research. Melody wanted to get the courage to ask him out but the day she swore she was going to do it he brought another classmate over. She didnt even know her name. Yet she disliked her because it seemed that she too kept staring at Corey and giving Melody the evil eye! Not to worry one day she would get the courage to ask him out.

Sophmore Year, 1st semester(narrated by Melody):

It funny how we never realize how things are improving while we do them. Now that im a sophmore I notice that my drawings are much better. Our professor lets us work more independently. I was leary of declaring my major but now I know that I want to be a city planner. In order for me to do that I need to declare a major in Economics. I guess you do need to know the financial aspect of the city before you plan there. After my sophomore year is complete I will go home and relax a bit with my family. They are thinking of moving but I hope they dont. I miss my old room. My little brother is getting bigger and I miss seeing him every day.

I finally got the nerve to talk to the counselor who after an hour told me that I was making the right choice. I cant believe that were free to do whatever we want except when it comes to our curriculum. I sat down stared at the screen and clicked yes when it said to declare my major. I looked through all the majors and finally found the one! Yes I am now finally an Economics major. Now how do I deal with all the math involved?

"Ok you can do this.. you can do this" I didnt think that I could do it but I had to finally talk myself into asking Corey out. The girl that was always in our group finally disappeared. Needless to say I ran in here when I saw him out there studying alone. He saw me and asked if i wanted to join him. I certainly want to do that and more but first I had to freshen up. Im so nervous and I dont know what im going to say!

Corey is not that talkative. He is always talking about school. So I turned the conversation to dating.
"Have you dated much? It seems like your always studying"
"What? Oh dating? Well ya. Nancy and I have gone out a couple of times but right now my time is for study and play later. I dont want to be like those other people that choose to party all the time you know."
"Ya I know. I like studying but you also need to take some time for youself. For instance maybe we can head downtown to do some Karaoke or something?"
"Are you asking me out?"
"Me?... nooo I was just suggesting as friends" Melody replied feeling as though she was going to die.
"Well im kind of seeing Nancy. Sorry maybe next time we can all go out"
"um, sure why not" Before I could even embarrass myself more. I excused myself and ran to my room. I hate feeling this way. Corey is so cute for that ugly Nancy chick!

Everyone was tense that finals were finally here and that everyone was cramming. I on the other hand was confident in passing my course work. I decided to take a breather from the library when I bumped into Joshua again. In truth I had forgotten his name but then he so lovingly reminded me.
"Hey robot girl. What are you doing?"
"Im taking a break"
"are you going home after finals."
"yes. Im so long overdue to visit my family"
"Thats cool. Listen how bout you and I have a cup of coffee sometime? I would like to get to know you other than being my 'robot girl'"
"Um, sure why not. I leave two days after finals."
"Ill look you up in the directory and give you a call. Good luck on your finals."
"you too Joshua... take care."
So this is how it was done? She only wished that Corey was this receptive when she asked him out. Yes yes..she denied that she was asking him out but what else could she do?

A week later Joshua contacted Melody for the coffee he had asked her for. She had several messages from him on her machine but she was not quite ready for the coffee date. They met outside her dorm and she had to admit he looked better now that she was paying attention.
"Thanks for meeting me. I promise we will have fun".
"I hope so. I mean your just a jock right?"
"Touche..for the robot girl comment"
"alright well lets go shall we?"

Melody asked Joshua several questions to get to know him a little better.
"What are you majoring in?"
"I dont know yet. Im here on a football scholarship but I need to decide soon. I want to own my own business either a sports store or maybe even a music store. My parents are not to keen on that but hey ...we do what we have to do. How bout you?"
"Im an economics major and im hoping to leave here back to Viramontes and become a city planner."
"Wow it sounds like your life is pretty mapped."
"not really. i just like to know what im doing. I couldnt be like you. Were going to be Juniors and you havent declared. Time flies by quickly."
"I guess your right"
Melody sensed that there was tension. She didnt want to sound snobbish but she thought Joshua had things placed together more than he did now.

"How bout we get up and do some dancing? You do dance dont you?"
"Yes. Well I guess. I havent really danced with no one thats not my dad."
"Daddy's little girl huh?"
"Yup. Listen I think I better get going. Do you mind?"
"No. But hey just because I havent declared my major doesnt mean we cant go out again. Dont worry my gameplan is just as tight and organized and your mapped out life."
"My life is not that mapped out."
Joshua offered to walk Melody home but she declined. She just wanted to get back to her room and begin to pack things for her trip home.


My professor saw me at my old desk and was rather surprised.
"Your still here? I thought everyone abandons the buildings once grades are in."
"They do but I just wanted to perfect this one last detail before I resubmit my project"
"I think you will do fine. Listen Melody. I think that you will go far. Ill leave you alone to finish. Just place it on my desk. And Melody have a great break."
"thanks professor. You to."

I turned in my project headed back to the dorm looked at my semester grades and smiled when I saw that for my semester my grade was A+. Now she just had to get to the train station to catch a train to go home.

Authors Note:
Alright. I spent a little more time with Melody in college. I wanted to write a better story than her cousin Carson got. I dont know who her love interest is going to be. Will it be Corey or will it be Joshua? Or will she find someone new? I decided that since I will play her dad's house soon I might as well have her there on vacation for some time of that update.

Carson Barillas--Chapter 1

Carson, age 19 freshman in college.

Carson arrived in college and could not believe that he was finally alone. It had been forever since he never felt so lonely. He was born with his other 2 brothers and one sister. They were Quadruplets. Being a quad means that your never alone. Now here he was in college and didnt know what to expect.
Freshman year:

Freshman year was more than he ever thought it could be. At first he had to learn where all the buildings were. He was misguided more than once. His class schedule was worse than in high school. Who knew that these professors cared little on whether you showed up or not. It was hard when he was placed on probation after his first semester. It didnt take long for him to realize that he had to do something. He paid more attention in class and studied night and day. He managed to finish his freshman year with a c average. Not bad for someone who put effort the second semester. He vowed to do better next year.

Sophmore year:

History... who would have thought that this class would be remotely interesting? He was not that used to lecture classes but he learned that he needed to write several notes. His hand was cramped from writing so much. Now he returned to classes with more confidence.

Carson sat down to write his final term paper for his sophomore year of college. He had decided to major in Medicine. He wanted to be a phyisician like his grandmother Maria-Celeste was. He remembered seeing her stop by in her white lab coat and showing him her beautiful stethoscope. For now he needed to focus on his term paper and turn it in on time.
His hard work paid off. he finished his Sophmore year with a A- average. Now he was poised to finish his Junior and Sophmore year.

Author's note:
I am trying to play sims university... its sooo boring for me. I created these classrooms in my regular neighborhood only because Carson was glitched when I tried to reenter him in college. Therefore his pictures are very limited. More than likely this is the scenario for most college students since its BORING!

Maura

Maura is the ex-wife of Consuelo Barillas. What has been happening to Maura? Read below.
Maura age 35
Narrated by Maura

I finally managed to get an apartment that I can be proud of. After my divorce with Consuelo I was literally left for broke. I know Consuelo is struggling with her own financial issues but im glad to see that my situation is improving. I still dont know why we ended up in divorce. I guess it was my getting pregnant with another set of Quads that pushed us to the max. Now that my first kids are in college, I have to concentrate on the younger ones. I want to be there with them but its hard living in two households. In order for them to have some stability I allowed them to live with Consuelo and I visit them. I need to work on visiting them more than I do now... its hard but I have to improve my relationship with my children.

My son Alfredo called me with the news that Dylan, my other son, just got married. I was questioning him and he told me to just call Dylan for the information. One thing that I do not like is that my kids get mouthy with me. I wish that I could turn back the hands of time but obviously I am unable to do so. I still can not believe that Consuelo never called me to let me know our son got married.

I decided to call the local match maker to see what she could offer me. I havent really dated since I dont want the drama. Besides how to break it to someone that you have 8 kids? The matchmaker was nice. She asked several questions and made me feel that I had been wasting my time before now. I am just happy that she gave me hope in finding someone. Her fee was hefty... I thought you couldnt put a price on love? I guess you can in this case.

Almost a month later she came by and said she found someone for me. I really couldnt believe it. I know that I wanted to date but part of me was just scared to go through with it.

"Now, you have to remain calm and just focus on what you really want. Based on what you told me Maura, this should be your perfect match. She too is looking for her perfect match. Just remember to take your time."
"Thank you so much. When am I scheduled to meet her? Do I call her first or?"
"She will be coming shortly. I believe in first impressions are the best. If you two do not hit if off then we will try again... but something tells me that you will be happy with this match."

Her name is Tammy Thompson...at first we were both really shy to talk about ourselves so we decided to take a walk around the neighborhood. I had this immediate attraction to her. She explained how she just got out of a long relationship and she needed to get out there to date. The match maker was right because we were instantly attracted to one another.

I began to fall for Tammy hard. Before I knew it we were seeing each other non-stop. I loved feeling alive again. I had not been with anyone since Consuelo and I have to admit that this felt so good.

Of course, Tammy proposed and I was shocked that she would do it so quickly. Tammy didnt want to wait for something that felt so right to move foward. I did have some concern since she didnt have any children and I had eight. I was not looking to have more children but Tammy was fine with that. I decided that before I made my yes official she should meet my family.
Tammy was nervous but knew this step had to happen sooner or later.

As I mentioned before, not being around the kids a lot worried me that our relationship was unrepairable. Shaila and Carson came by along with my other children to meet Tammy. Shaila was so supportive and that made me happy.

"Mom I can not believe that your actually dating someone. Does mom know that your dating someone?"
"No, I havent discussed it with her yet. I did invite her over as well. Hopefully we can all sit down together and talk."

Carson came by on his spring break. His college days were going good so we I was happy that he was a Junior and getting ready to graduate next year. As we were catching up I noticed Consuelo came in. I needed to talk to her before she found out about Tammy.

"Hi, thanks for coming Consuelo."
"I wouldnt miss it for the world. I like your new place."
"I do too. Listen I needed to talk to your about Tammy. She and I are kind of well dating and I wanted you to meet her."
"OK... I wanted to talk to you about something. Can we perhaps go somewhere private?"

The minute Consuelo and I were alone she began to intensly flirt with me.
"Whats the deal Consuelo? Does this have to do with Tammy?"
"No. Maura... I have missed you and I need you with me. I still cant believe that you dated someone else."
"dated? No im dating. Consuelo... I tried to get over this and have us be together but you didnt want to hear it."
"I have been stupid...."
"its too late, im getting engaged to Tammy tonight."
"no your not because you want to be with me. We belong together and I wont let you make that mistake"

Before I knew it Consuelo wrapped her arms around my neck and began to kiss me ever so slowly. I had almost forgotten how sweet her lips were. I couldnt resist and I all wanted to do was to take our clothes off. I forgot about everyone around us. I just wanted to feel her skin closer to mine.

We were lost in ourselves when we heard Tammy's voice interrupting us. I forgot her name... all I could think of was, 'the red head'.

"Maura... would you care to explain this to me?" asked Tammy.
"Tammy, um this is my ex-wife Consuelo. Consuelo this is Tammy."
"I would say nice to meet you but you have your lips all over my finacee. You do know your relationship with her is over correct?"
"Well Tammy that is something that needs to be decided between Maura and Myself. Last time I checked you were not in our relationship. Maura we need to finish our discussion."

"In case you havent noticed. We have a party going on downstairs and I need Maura with me. She needs to come with me to announce our engagement. Her having one kiss with you has not changed anything between us. Just because your scared of losing her does not give you the"

"Wait one second. Honey... I will never lose Maura as much as she will never lose me. In case you didnt know we have children together. That will tie us for the rest of our lives. As for you, I didnt even know your existence until I walked into this room."

The next thing I knew they were fighting and I kept trying to pull Tammy off of Consuelo.


Is it bad that I thought it was so hot that Consuelo actually beat Tammy? I didnt know what to say but I knew that I had to diffuse this situation quickly.

"Consuelo are you OK?"
"Im fine. I think that I should go. Maura just think about what I said. I love you and I know I have made mistakes...but we are still in time to fix them"

Consuelo left and I was there left with Tammy to pick up whatever was left of our so called engagement party. I never did announce my engagement that night. As a matter of fact Tammy was so embarrassed that she left and ceased to return my calls. I wanted to explain to her that I was sorry about the whole situation but she never answered. Now I needed to think about and process what happened with Consuelo.
