Marcos and Linda Chalmers-Barillas (No relation to Neil)
While other family members of the Barillas clan were debating on whether to have children or not, Linda had the suspicion that she was expecting. It happened all of a sudden where she was always tired and naseous all the time. She was sure that Marcos was not expecting this but she wasnt shy to tell him her suspicions when the time was right.
Linda was no the only one pregnant. Petals their dog also gave birth to a puppy which Linda and Marcos agreed they would place in adoption.
Linda told Marcos her suspcion of being pregnant and Marcos just stared at his wife. He couldnt believe that out of those beautiful lips came those wonderful words, "Marcos I think I'm pregnant." He didnt know what to say. A million things raced through his mind. Was he ready? Was he father material? He thought about how just the other day he was talking to his brother-in-law Neil about adoption. Linda was pleased to see her husbands faced. She was pleased because this meant that she was not the only scared one in the house.
Marcos started to tell his whole family including the legacy heir, Oscar Simon II. Simon offered his congradulations and offered to have a party at his house to celebrate. Marcos declined knowing that at the moment eveyone was still mourning their mother Maria-Celeste. It was at this point he got sad and started to tear up wishing his mom and dad were here to see his children. Simon heard his brothers voice crack and told him it was OK to cry and let it out. No matter what they were brothers and they had each other.
Linda told her sister-in-laws and they were all excited about the pending birth. Linda was happy to get started on getting their extra room ready for their baby. Marcos on the other hand was wondering what the name of the baby was going to be. All in all they were excited that they expected a bundle of joy!

Brianna and Neil Chalmers
Loan Debt $0
Household members: Brianna, Job:City Council Member
Neil Job: Junior officer in the police force.
Brianna woke up to find peace and solace in her home. It had been a year since Neil had found her to retry their marriage. Brianna was happier than ever being with Neil. They had been through a lot but she could not get the emptyness out of her. She looked at Neil and loved how peaceful he looked. Neil woke up to find his wife starting at him, "what? whats wrong?" he asked. "Nothing. I just was looking at my beautiful husband."replied Brianna.
Neil got up to get ready for work but he knew his wife well. After all they have been legally married since they were in high school and he knew something was up. He didnt press the issue and decided to ask her at a later time.
Brianna and Neil loved getting her brothers and sisters together to chat and have some dancing fun. The problem with big families is that you never have a great opportunity get everyone together at the same time. In this instance Neil managed to invite Ian, his wife Debbie and Marcos with his wife Linda. Brianna loved seeing her brothers with their wives. She felt that it was yesterday that they were teenagers dreaming of going to college. Unfortunately Ian was the one of the three did not go to college. Perhaps the reason why these three hung out more is that they were tripletts it the womb.
Once the family had left Neil asked Brianna to help him create a snowman in their front yard. This was something that Brianna always loved about her husband. He was always spontaneous and always had a plan of what to do next. Once Neil had her relaxed he managed to ask her what she had on her mind. Brianna didnt know how Neil would react to his answer so she just said it. "The other day I was thinking well we have been married a long time. We both know that I can't have children naturally so I was thinking of asking your thoughts about adoption". "Adoption? Wow Bri, I actually thought that you were against it. Let me think about it. I mean we both have to be ready financially. Are you sure that your ready emotionally for the uphill battle of adoption?" "I am Neil... I am sure of it!"
Neil and Marcos were close since they were friends before Neil started dating Brianna. "How is married life with Linda?"
"Let me tell you that its more than I bargained for. Its different. I guess we were trying to feel where our boundaries were but I think we have it in tact now. Before I couldnt leave with out her asking if i didnt like her company. Now she realizes that we both can have our own space."
"Wow. Brianna and I are doing OK. Guess what?"
"What"
"Were thinking of adopting. Can you imagine me Marcos? A dad? I mean I know we were going to have a child but this is different. This is someone that is chosen to live with both Bri and myself. I dont know if I can do it."
"What brought this up? You or my sister Brianna?"
"Bri, but I think that im going to go for it," Neil smiled and he could not wait to tell Brianna of his decision.
The next morning they were cuddling in bed and enjoying each others company. Neil was sure that he was ready to be a dad. He wanted to make not only his marriage work but he wanted to expand his marriage to include a family. Neil told Brianna of his support in seeking to adopt a child. Brianna was more than excited and could not wait to recieve her son or daughter. Now all they had to wait for is to be accepted.

Household Members; Oscar Simon, Job: Magazine Editor. His wife Brandi, Job: International sim of mystery.
Children: Melody Sofia, currently a teen. Oscar Joshua III, currently a toddler.
Pets: A little chihuahua named Tater, Job: Seeing eye pet.
Brandi hated doing this. It was finally time to make the dreaded call that she was hoping to never make. It was finally time to bid farewell to her ailing mother-in-law Maria-Celeste. She didnt think that it would happen so fast. It seemed like it was yesterday that her father-in-law had passed away and here she is now calling all her in-laws. Her mother-in-law had been such an inspiration to her that it pained to see her die. She called her husband, Oscar SimonII who rushed to be at his mother's side.
Everyone was present for her last few hours. Maria-Celeste herself was happy only because she would be reunited with her deceased husband Oscar. At first she dreaded leaving her family without a matriarch and now she knew her family was strong. Aside from all the tears Maria-Celeste faced the grim reaper and was blessed with having to live a plantinum status life. She bid her farewell and her family was left to mourn.
Everyone did inherit from Maria-Celeste's death. Unlike when their father/father-in-law died she managed to spend more time with her family. Brandi had know her mother-in-law since she was a young girl who married her first son who happened to be the legacy heir. No one wanted to break the silence. there was nothing but tears and people hugging each other wishing to make the pain go away.
Justin had stepped into their kitchen to let his anger and hurt spill out of him. He never had a chance to explain to his mom why he dropped out of college. It hurt him to think that his mother thought of him as a drop out. Sure his mother never actually said that but just knowing he never had the chance to clear the air made Justin reach rock bottom. Oscar Simon had to come and help him off the floor. He knew the pain his baby brother was feeling and tried to console him the best he could.
After the funeral the house seemed gloomy with out Maria-Celeste being around. Melody sofia missed her grandmother dearly. She still recalled her grandmother's stories about dating and getting through high school. Brandi knew that her family was having a hard time trying to move on and it was understandable. It was not until one day that Melody suggested that the family take a vacation to get their mind off of things. Brandi agreed and they decided to approach Oscar Simon with the idea.
Brandi came in to their bedroom and saw her husband relaxing on the bed.
"Is everything OK Simon?"
"Ya, come here. I want you next to me. How was your day today?"
"It was good and yours?"
"It was also good. You know Brandi. I actually missed you and the kids. I wanted to rush home and just be with you, melody and Joshua. I love you. You know that right?"
" I do know that. And I hope that you know that I love you. "
"did you come up to get something or ask me something?" asked Simon.
Brandi did not ask about the vacation Melody suggested. She decided to wait a little longer. She felt as though her husband just needed a break to be at home with his family and enjoy each other's company.
Generation 2--Consuelo Barillas Chapter: 6
It was moving day for Consuelo and the kids. Normally this would be a good thing but not today. Consuelo had decided to divorce her wife Maura. Consuelo had met Maura in college and was sure that they would last forever however this was not meant to be. Things began to change when they had the first set of Quads. Consuelo never knew how hard it would be for them to raise four children at the same time. While Maura was ecstatic about their lives together and possibly having more children Consuelo grew anxious of not being able to provide. Consuelo's job as a double agent plus Maura's as a fast food shift manager were not enough to take care of their growing debt. Not only did they tend to lose the house but the social worker had come over twice to see how the first set of kids were doing. Consuelo could not handle it when Maura announced that she was pregnant yet again. When Maura gave birth to another set of Quads Consuelo felt that it was the last nail on the coffin. Sure many may say that she left Maura because of the kids. The real truth however was that she left because she did not trust Maura anymore. Consuelo paid $7,000 for her divorce and was adwarded a settlement of 15,000 every season for child support. She also receieved $26,300 for the 1/2 value of the home they owned. Consuelo was happy yet she knew she still owed $159,600 in loans. Her main goal now was to work and get money fast.
Consuelo also got custody for the kids for now at least. She bought a nice farm on the outskirts of Virmontes. She didnt know how she was going to do it but she was going to make a living out of the farm. The kids were excited to help. Consuelo held a family meeting to make sure that everyone was on the same page. Now that the second set of Quads: Audrina, Jacquelyn, Lauren and Lizandra were children they too could help with the farm. One thing that Consuelo did not want is for the kids not to know their mom Maura. Therefore as soon as they were settled Maura would come to visit in addition to her daily phone calls to the kids.
"You dont care about me or you never did, huh Consuelo"

Ian and his wife Debbie walked to his sister Amarilis' house. He had been invited over for dinner and did not know how it was going to go. He had talked to her since he left the house but still it was akward between them. Debbie was amazed at the size of her sister-in-laws house and could not believe that they lived in such a big place.
Amarilis saw them through the window and came out to greet them and invite them inside.
Amarilis loved having family over. She wanted her children to know her brothers and sisters. Amazingly dinner went along smoothly. Even Meadow arrived from work happy to see that her in laws were there visiting.
A few days later Consuelo came by to visit her triplet sister Amarilis. Consuelo needed to get somethings off her chest and felt only her older sister could listen to her without judgement.
Consuelo had explained her ordeal she had been going through. Amarilis could not belive half of the stuff she was hearing. Amarilis was shocked to know that Consuelo and Maura were getting divorced. No matter what Amarilis knew that she had to be supportive. She didnt know how she was going to tell her mom but she had to be supportive. Consuelo cried her eyes out and Amarilis could do nothing but hold her.
Her mother Maria-Celeste could not resist the ever persistent speech of how Amarilis should marry Meadow. No matter what they said Amarilis and Meadow knew they were in love with each other and would get married when the time was right. For now they had three children together and their priority was to raise these children. Marriage was the last thing on their minds.
Here is Amarilis holding Arthur. It always amazed Amarilis how her kids had her mother's red hair. She herself had her dad's black hair.
Here's a screen shot of the birthday parties. Everyone was happy to come over and spend some time together. Almost the whole Barillas clan is present minus the babies and toddlers. Amarilis was happy to see that both Consuelo and Maura showed up at the party. Although they arrived in separate cars, Consuelo and Maura managed to be civil. Not everyone knew that the divorce was already processed.
Here are the Twins all grown up. On the left is Isabel and on the right is Aaron.

After getting settled in her peace and quiet was disturbed by her cellphone. "Now what?" she thought. After all she had just dealt with all the remodlers that she could deal with for one day. She finally got everything the way she wanted it. The worst was trying to get builders to take her word as the final one.
Adrienne made her way down town and could not believe how hot it was in Viramontes. She thought that she would melt before she actually got downtown. Her heart skipped a beat when she laid her eyes on Ashley. He had seemed more mature now that she saw him again. She asked herself why she never gave him a chance.
Adrienne was on her way back to Ashley when she walked into the wrong room.
"yes why? Wait I just noticed the coat. You work for her right?"
Brianna managed to corner Adrienne and ask why she was not invited over. She actually was told by Amarilis that Adrienne was having breakfast served.
"Adrienne" said Brianna, "I know we grew apart when I left for college but I hope we can mend things..after all were family."
Adam managed to break away from is busy schedule to visit his twin Adrienne. He told her about his latest drama at his apartment complex.
"hello. I think I have the wrong house. I was looking for Adrienne."
Adrienne felt that the floor would open up and swallow her. She did not believe that Gerard was literally sitting at her dining room table. She could not belive that her brother invited him in and they were talking like they were friens for years.
The guys let Adrienne clean the table and put some coffee to brew. Meanwhile Adam decided to grill Gerards intentions.

Adrienne felt bad about how the date ended with Ashley that she agreed to see him again. She didnt know why she agreed to it but she just did. To her surprise she actually had a great time. She even flirted with him a little. After a fun night she decided to head back home and relax.
* * * * * *
"So sis spill it. How are things with Gerard?" inquired Adam.
"non existant. He's busy with work. I wanted to ask you something because maybe you know more than I . Do you get along with our older sibilings? I mean I think that I dont know Amarilis, Consuelo or Brianna but they want me to be all buddy buddy with them. I dont know what to say. I just want to be at peace but with Brianna constantly calling me 24/7 trying to make up for lost time. It just gets annoying."
"I know. It can get taxing. I guess we guys are different. I get along with Simon and Marcos and of course Justin. Ian? Well I still havent seen him. I know that he has kids but its not for him to just ignore his family."
"he has always been like that. He is the number one private person. I still remember when he left. He was so determined and no one could stop him."
"Ya. either way sis they are our family. We will get to know each other again. Its hard having brothers and sister that hardly know each other. Besides were twins and I know you since day 1."
Adrienne stared at her twin and hoped her relations with the older sibilings would get better as time progressed.
