My son is a couple of years away from going to college. I wanted to surprise him with a present. He was so excited to learn that it was his own personal cellphone. We got one for our older daughter too when she went away for college.

Joshua and I have been really bonding lately. We both get up to work out and well I basically tell him about the legacy and how one day it will be his. He seems to be grasping the concept. Its hard to think that even now the third generation will soon bring the fourth.

I guess it was a little much for him because he would sit for hours and stare at the screen. I showed him the family tree logs that I have been keeping. I also emphasized how important it is to keep in touch with everyone.

he has also started dating. He told me that he was trying to date a girl named Ava White. So far it sounds that it was not successful.

After many tries she finally agreed to go out to dinner with him. My son has never really dated so I am a little worried that he will fall in love fast.

Months went by and I see Joshua less because he is with his friend Ava more. I think that she is his girlfriend but he doesn't want to bring her home yet.

Brandi and I sat down and reminded Joshua that he had a curfew and he needed to focus on college. Brandi looked at me with worried eyes and I reassured her that Joshua would indeed be going to college.

I came home by surprise and walked in on my son and Ava half naked. I gave her a moment to leave and Joshua confirmed that they indeed had slept together. I did not know what to say.

I told Brandi who the next morning told Joshua she was disappointed that he was not taking school seriously. She told him that he better be taking precautions unless he wanted a son at such a young age. Poor Joshua just sat there and turned beet red. Serves him right!

I am proud of my wife because she has taken the legacy role wife quite seriously. She has made the effort for the wives to get together at least once a month to talk about what has been going on. She gets along with the ex's so she invites them as well. It will get dicey if Ian marries Mary but for now its good.

They chatted and according to Brandi they all loved her new hair cut. She also mentioned that Debbie seemed a little more depressed and that Linda Chalmers (Marcos' ex wife) didn't show. In the end, they all had a great time catching up.

I in the meantime was finalizing my novel which got me a commission of $2,330.

Soon it was time to bid Joshua a farewell to highschool and hello to college. Melody and Joshua came over for a family dinner. I still hug Melody too much for her taste. After her accident both Brandi and I knew we were lucky to have such great kids.

Ava came by to talk to my son. She was greeted at the door by Melody and asked to see Josh. Joshua and her talked and then Brandi told me to get away from the window. I hope they manage to work things out. I am not sure if Ava is going to college or not. I just hope that Joshua finishes college.

Joshua left. Now Brandi and I hugged and watched our son go in the cab. Now we were officially empty nesters. I couldnt believe we were 44 and empty nesters?

Debbie has finally moved out of her old apartment building and into a new one. For now this will suffice. Her real dream is to move completely out of this town. There are too many of her ex-husband's family running around. Sure she gets along with some of them but still its too much. She has however managed not to go to any parties and run into Ian and his new girlfriend. Rumor has it that he is already cheating her her as well. That brought a smile to Debbie's face but then she got rid of it. She didn't want Mary to go through what she did but she couldn't help feel a tiny bit gleeful.

For now her main priority was raising her boys. Julio, August and Darcy. Julio and August were almost ready to go to college. She prayed and hoped that they both would go but in the end it was their decision. She would make her move after Darcy leaves for college.

Aaron Barillas Chapter 3

Heather and I are finally able to live in our own apartment with our kids. Its a bit small seeing that it only has two bedrooms. Hopefully we will be able to move into a house soon. As of now we are both seeking employment.

We finally found jobs and we announced it during breakfast. The other announcement came from Heather who announced she was expecting. I was totally in shock.

I hugged Heather because she seemed so scared after she passed her first trimester. I honestly don't think she is ready to have another baby.

Time passes so fast. She is due any day now and we are all excited to see what we are welcoming to the house. Sarah is hoping for a baby sister while the boys wish for a baby brother. They both got their wish because we had twins.

Were experts now. Here is Esteban.

We had to break our lease to move out. Our landlord was not too happy but what are we to do? At least we left on semi good terms.

I managed to get a loan and purchased this house for us. It cost a lot but both Heather and I are going to struggle to make it our home for our kids.

Life after leaving college has been pretty boring. I bought this table in hopes of doing much more. I don't want to live in this tiny apartment my whole life.

Candice Perry and I are getting along much better than ever. She is finally graduating this year and I could not be happier. She tried to see if we should move in together. I agreed that we should try it out. What more could I ask for?

Waking up next to Candice is the best thing that could have ever happened to me. I am more in love than ever with her.

Payton and I finally tied the knot. It was a small ceremony but we both loved the simplicity.

We were so happy that we finally had our wedding.

My kids were here, and thats why we decided to take the opportunity to get married.

Almost a year after the wedding we found out we were expecting. As you can guess I had twins. We were not expecting it. We had a girl which we named Xochil and a boy we named Clive. So far life is good.

This is part of my sim extras... Linda used to married to Marcos and now she is living with Payton. I think I will only update with two pics in the future. I will age the kids up but I will not play them.

Melody Sofia Barillas Chapter 4

Joshua:

I can't remember what they told me. I just remember having this sinking feeling when I finally comprehending what the person on the phone was saying.

Earlier that day I had just said goodbye to my wife. I promised that I would cook dinner. How is it that it seems so long ago that I held her?

My mother-in-law Brandi, was and still is my support system. Melody was involved in a serious car accident and was in a coma. I called my in-laws and I could barely get the words out of my mouth. I am still in shock.

My father-in-law Oscar Simon was there and couldn't believe what he saw. It seemed that this was all surreal for all of us.

A few days later the doctor told us that there was much improvement and before we would know it she would wake up. I just hope that its sooner than later. She had been asleep for 4 days. What if there were any consequences.
Melody Sofia:

I woke up and the last thing I remembered was driving. I was so amazed to see my whole family and my own husband there. The doctor came and examined me among others. Joshua wouldn't leave me alone for a minute. I had two broken arms but thankfully not anything else.

After a week, I was so bored about being in the hospital. I told my dad that I was so ready to go home. He finally agreed and told me that I would have to talk to my doctor and my husband. I couldn't believe that these decisions were no longer my own.

Finally I was home. I remember feeling my sheets in my bed and thought it was the greatest sensation I ever felt. I also told Joshua that I needed a vacation to relax. I was so tired of being cooped up. So finally after bugging him about it, she gave in as soon as my casts were off we would be off.

We told my mother and she freaked about us going on vacation. She suggested that it could be too soon. She was worried but in the end they both agreed that I needed a break.

We decided to go to Twikki Islands for a vacation. It felt wonderful, the nice warm air and the nice hotel personnel.

The minute we changed and got in the room I was all over Joshua. It had been weeks since we had sex due to my accident. He was so scared about hurting me but I finally convinced him that I was fine.

We were so relaxed then out of left field Joshua told me that he was ready to start a family. I couldn't believe that he was ready to have kids. I told him that I was not ready yet because I needed more time. I was only 25. He told me that he wanted us to move forward. He said, "this is naturally the next step in marriage. Why not have a baby?" I told him , "im not ready. I don't want kids"
"now or ever?"
"just now Joshua. I don't want kids. We have to get our careers going. I don't even know if my job will accept me or not." I could tell Josh was upset and said that he was done eating dinner and told me he was going to the sauna.

I joined him in the sauna. For the first time I was worried about our relationship.
"Whats up? I mean Josh, I barely got out of this accident and I just dont feel confident enough to have a child."
"It's not that. It's just that you seem like you never want to have children. I thought it would be different. Let's not ruin our vacation. Let's have fun and we will talk about this subject another day Ok"
"OK"

The vacation ended and upon their arrival back at the house Joshua stated he was tired and went to bed. I took advantage and put all of the clothes away. I went to bed and for the first time looked at Joshua and realized that maybe he was right. Maybe I did not want to have kids...at least while we both are still trying to climb the corporate ladder. This was something that they both had to contemplate. Hopefully the subject would not come up for a while.

Dylan Barillas-Chapter 4

Our marriage has begun to get a little boring I might say. We still talk about the news of my family but it seems all we have in common now a days. Leo wants me to enroll in college where as I am content in my little job as he calls it.

Leo believes in hiring a nanny to do the job of helping to raise our kids. I honestly detest the idea but I don't want to get into it with him. So I grinned and agreed to have interviews. Who ever heard of a Manny? Not me. The three people that showed were Martin Ruben, Jane Stacks and Allegra Gorey. I interviewed each one and was bored out of my mind.

Just because I have to choose someone I choose Jane. She seemed the most normal out of the three people that applied.

I have to admit that she is great with the kids. I am happy that she is around to help me out.

Don't get me wrong I still take care of the kids. I know Leo hates me being so involved. Either way they are our kids and we should be involved. I just hope that our marriage gets its spark back sooner rather than later.
